THERE IS CURRENTLY TOTAL CHAOS IN YILO-KLO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY!!!!
Youth of Somanya have invaded the premises of the Municipal Assembly with sticks, clubs, and stones ready to attack the Assembly members for voting against the MCE nominee.
They said the Assembly members should vomit all the money they collected from Kupualor to them before they will allow them free passage home.
Some of the Youth have also hit the glass of the vehicle of a former MCE, Christian Tettey. They believe he has a hand in working against the confirmation of the MCE nominee.
Currently, the Assembly members have been locked up in a room and they cannot come out.
The youth whose numbers are increasing by the minutes are every where on the compound with sticks and are in a militant mood.
The heavy security present here are having difficulties controlling the teeming and aggrieved youth.
There is total chaos here.
KUPUALOR GOT 33 YES. 28 NO. And 2 REJECTED BALLOTS
Christian Tettey, a former MCE of Yilo-Krobo, upon seeing that his vehicle has been hit by the teeming youth, took out a gun to fire. But the timely intervention of the police prevented him from doing so.
THE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS ARE CURRENTLY PASSING A RESOLUTION
With the second round of voting going against Kupualor, what it means is that, his dream of MCEship is all over for him.
But there is perhaps a good news for him.
The Assembly members who are currently locked up in a room are passing a resolution.
They said they want the President, Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, to re-nominate Kupualor again.
They said they want the President to renominate him again, and they will vote for him this time around.
Currently, 44 of the Assembly members, representing the 2/3rd majority are ready to sign the Resolution which will be sent to the President at the Flagstaff house.
Meanwhile the Eastern Regional Secretary of the NPP is currently having a tough time controlling the teemimg youth. He is currently addressing them to abandon their planned actions and return home ”for everything is under control”.
